A recent survey involving 2,000 men across the UK examined their self-assessed health habits. Findings indicated that men in London and Leeds view themselves as the healthiest. The study highlighted that Londoners smoke less, hydrate more, and are more inclined to have gym memberships than those in other cities.

Men from Manchester also reported positive health practices, with many drinking four glasses of water daily and regularly consuming three portions of fruits and vegetables. Conversely, Sheffield men rated themselves as the least healthy, with only 17% claiming to have a gym membership.

“It's been interesting to see the differences from men around the nation, when it comes to different aspects of health. There are lots of different things that can impact your physical wellbeing, it's not just about how often you go to the gym."

Additionally, 28% of men in Bristol admitted they have never gone for a run, marking the highest figure among the surveyed cities. Key health indicators noted by the participants included high energy levels, low body fat, and the capacity to exercise without undue fatigue.

A representative from Wellman who commissioned the survey emphasized that “Health is different for everybody,” underscoring the need for a balanced approach to overall wellbeing. Meanwhile, in Scotland, men in cities like Edinburgh and Glasgow are increasingly participating in outdoor activities and sports, fostering a more active lifestyle.

This emerging trend may inspire men throughout the UK to embrace healthier habits and engage in community health initiatives designed to enhance overall wellbeing.
